What is sustainable?

What is sustainable

There are many different opinions about sustainability; it is a broad concept. Sustainability is often synonymous with “green,” preserving trees and eating food that considers the environment. ReducedCO2 emissions is also called sustainable. These are indeed components of our geothermal solution. In addition, there is a globally agreed upon definition of sustainable, namely:

“Meeting needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations, to meet their own needs.”

GGN’s goal is to produce geothermal heat in a sustainable manner.

A way of deciding

Sustainability for GGN is therefore a way of deciding. A sustainable decision has more depth and involves future decisions in that one decision today. It was with this conviction that GGN created the sustainable geothermal solution.

Independence

So for GGN, sustainability is heat that is independent of other energy forms, withoutCO2 emissions. After all, that ensures that generations to come after us retain all their freedom of decision. By developing heat in this way, there is no impediment in the future to expanding or stopping geothermal energy.

Choice

With that sustainability logic, “waste heat,” for example, is not sustainable heat. However, that is not to say that its use cannot “be a good idea as a consideration. But waste heat comes from someone else’s energy chain, so then there is dependence. Dependency limits the freedom of choice to make quick decisions, we have experienced this closely in Europe.
